5 Fun-Filled Ideas For Easy Party Games for Kids

Are you planning a party? Well, everyone knows that a party needs to have fun games! Here you will find some ideas for games that kids will love. These games are perfect for birthday parties or any other parties where kids want to have fun!

1. A Treasure Hunt
A treasure hunt is always fun, and will work especially well if you are having a party in your home and are in need of activity ideas. To set up the treasure hunt, you will need to write down clues on pieces of paper and place them around the house. The first piece clue should direct the reader to where the next is hidden, and so on.
With each clue, there can be a little prize. Or you can just have one prize at the end of the treasure hunt. For the prize at the end the “treasure” a good idea would be to make a little bag for each child with candy and other small items.
If you don’t have the space inside, a treasure hunt would work well outside! This will get kids running around, and might even be more fun. If you have a lot of people, you could divide them up into two groups, with each searching for their own hidden treasure. The groups could compete to see who can find it faster.

2. Ring Toss
Just like the last idea, this one also lets you use what you already have. There is no need to go out and buy expensive items for games when you can get creative and turn everyday items into fun new activities!
To make your own ring toss game, you can cut rings out of cardboard. You can add color to them using markers or paint. Next, you will need to find something that you can use as a stake. Then, using something such as rope or tape, mark three different distances away from the stake. Give each child a ring, and they can take turns tossing them from whichever line they would like.
An idea for a ring toss game would be for each line to have a certain number of points: for example, the line farthest away is 100 points, the middle one is 50, and the closest is 25. So, when each person tosses their ring, if they get it around the stake at a certain line they earn that many points. Someone keeps score of all the points, and after everyone has had a set amount of turns, the winner is announced.

3. Races
If you have some open space outside, you can have some fun races. Mark the beginning and the end, with two different lanes to run in right next to each other. Divide everyone up into two teams. Two people will run at once and see who can run to the other end and back first.
Get creative with the races for example, one idea would be to try to hold a cup with a ball balanced on top while running, and not drop the ball. Or, children can walk from the first point to the next while trying to hit a ball with a paddle. Don’t just limit it to running these races can consist of anything creative that you can think of!

4. A Drawing Game
This is the perfect game if your child’s party is taking place in a small space. For example, if it is raining and you can’t go outside, this is a great game to play inside. For this game, everyone gets a piece of paper and something to draw with. All of the children at the party sit in a circle on the floor or around a table.
Then, they each start drawing a picture but only for about a minute. After they have all drawn something, they pass the paper to the person next to them. So, each person now has a new drawing in hand to add to. They can add more by drawing or writing words to get their point across. The children continue to pass the papers around until everyone has had at least one turn with each drawing. If your group consists of only a few people, then the papers might get passed around multiple times.
At the end, everyone can lay out all the finished pictures and look at them. The children at the party will be sure to have fun laughing over how they all turned out!

5. An Obstacle Course
The last game idea is to create an obstacle course. For this you can really get creative and set it up however you would like. For example, you could set up the obstacle course so that it goes in a loop all around your yard, around the outside of your house. There can be different stations where children must do different things: hop on one foot, jump from one circle (made by a rope lying on the ground, or a hoop) to the next, bounce or toss a ball, and so on. Just look around and get creative using the items that you have!
